From Esposende to Carreço

On Day 3, I walked from Esposende to Carreço. The route blended sandy coastal stretches with cobbled village lanes and quiet forest tracks — the best of Portugal’s northern coast. I stayed overnight at Casa do Sardão, a beautifully kept guesthouse overlooking the countryside where the evening light faded gently over the hills.

I’ll write the full story for this stage after completing the GR20 Trail on 11 June. For now, these photos capture the calm rhythm and coastal beauty of the day.
