Portuguese Camino Day 4: Carreço to Valença

View from my room at Casa do Sardão in Carreço — a peaceful and welcoming place to rest before continuing the Camino.
On Day 4, I walked from Carreço to Valença. The route offered a mix of coastal views, forest paths, and quiet villages. I stayed overnight at Hostel Bulwark in Valença, near the Spanish border.
As soon as I entered the hostel, I met Andrea. She looked up, smiled, and asked, “Would you like a glass of wine?” I replied, “Sure.” And just like that, we started talking — two strangers sharing a moment on the Camino.
I will write the full story for this stage after completing the GR20 on 11 June. In the meantime, here are a few photos from the day’s journey.
