Portuguese Camino Day 2: Póvoa de Varzim to Esposende

A quiet street in Esposende, where I spent the night after a short day of walking.
On Day 2, I walked from Póvoa de Varzim to Esposende. It was a shorter day (I only walked for 3 hours) because of the drama after I reached Póvoa de Varzim. I arrived at 5.45 pm, but could only find accommodation — a 4-star hotel — at 10.30 pm. More details about that story will come on Day 1, after I complete the GR20.
The walk today followed the coastal path, with gentle sea breezes and a few fishing villages along the way. I stayed overnight at Sleep & Go in Esposende.
I will write the full story for this stage after completing the GR20 on 11 June. In the meantime, here are a few photos from the day’s journey.

The Igreja Matriz de Esposende (Mother Church of Esposende), dedicated to Saint Mary of the Angels, a prominent landmark along the Camino route.
